McKinlee was pretty close to outgrowing her toddler bed (her feet were almost hitting the end!) and she has constantly been asking us for bunk beds so we figured now was the perfect time to make the switch. I'm really happy with how her big girl bedroom update turned out! I started my search for bunk beds and there were a ton of super expensive options out there (like over $2,000 expensive!). We decided to turn to Wayfair (we've had a ton of great luck with their furniture) and found the perfect bunk. Check out how McKinlee's room looked before here.

The biggest updates we did to McKinlee's bedroom was getting her new beds and new bedding, Like I said before, McKinlee was suddenly outgrowing her toddler bed (it was so so cute and I was sad to see it go). She suddenly started talking about bunk beds and how fun they would be for her and sissy. I think she must have remembered them after a Valentine's day party we went to at one of our neighbors.
The ones we chose were under $400 and they convert to two separate toddler beds when/if we want to take them apart. Check them out here! The first thing my aunt said when I told her we got bunk beds was that they were such a pain to make them up every day. I got to thinking about bedding and of course the first thing I thought of was Beddy's Beds!
We have a Beddy's Bed in our bedroom and love it! See the whole post here. Beddy's Beds are the perfect bedding for bunk beds because they always look nice and made up. Plus, making them is a breeze. McKinlee can finally make her own bed! All it takes is a quick zip and fluff and we're good to go.
We decided to go with the Vintage Blush II and I am obsessed with them. They are the perfect pink color and I love the ruffle details. The inside "sheet" is white with tiny pink polka dots. Perfect for our big girls bedroom! Beddy's Bed was kind enough to give our readers a 20% discount by clicking any of the Beddy's links above!
this is the minky comfort panel to give extra coverage

the top zips open and is lined with super soft minky fabric
Have you ever had bunk beds in your kids room? How did they do with them? Have you ever tried Beddy's Beds? I'd love to know! Thanks as always for reading!
Gorgeous room! I'm in the process of decorating my 4 year old's room and love the name banner on her door! When I click on the link to the etsy shop I don't see any custom name banners in the shop? How did that work?
Shoot I'm not seeing it listed on her site! I'll check in with her to see if she's bringing them back!
Such a gorgeous room ! My daughter loves the wall color. Would you happen to know the name of the paint you used?
Thank you! It's Sherwin Williams, Embellished Blue!
Can you tell me where you got the rug and what color? Thank you.
Love this bunk bed and the bedding! I’m definitely going to get something similar! Or the exact same, let’s be honest haha. It’s absolutely beautiful and I can’t wait!
What is the thickness of the mattresses? Can you share a brand or link? I like the thick look and I’m having trouble picking a mattress height to duplicate your look. Please let us know ????
Hi! You're so sweet! We love this bunk bed so much. For the mattress, we went with Leesa. Bunk bed link isn't working for me. Do u remember the name of the bunkbeds. Also for the wallpaper, was it the light or dark version. Sometimes pics can be deceiving.
