Portland, Spring, Spring Fashion, Travel with Kids
We had an absolutely gorgeous Spring day a few weeks ago and it just so happened to be when the Cherry Blossom tree's in Portland had started blooming at the waterfront downtown. My mom and I took the girls to check out the Cherry Blossom's and they were stunning!
We took the below photos this year (2019) and the ones at the bottom of the post last year (2018).
If you are heading to Portland during the Spring, you must check out the Cherry Blossoms! They line the waterfront which is a lovely walk when the weather is nice. You can check out all the bridges that Portland is famous for. I would suggest packing a picnic and bringing a blanket to have lunch or dinner. We went mid March and they were not quite fully bloomed, but we had to take advantage of the nice day we had. In case you didn't know, it rains A LOT here.

We drove down to the Waterfront, but you could easily ride the Max down. There is a Smart Park just about two blocks from the Waterfront. We parked there and walked down to the trees. It was super convenient!
After hanging out at the Cherry Blossom's, we headed over to the Pine Street Market for some Ice Cream. It is a quick 5 minute walk from the Waterfront. Pine Street Market is Portland's first 'food hall'. There are so many amazing options to choose from. We went to Wizbangbar which is Salt and Straw's version of soft serve. OMG, it was so, so good. Of course McKinlee and Madi chose "pink ice cream" with sprinkles.
Do you have a special place in your city that has amazing rows of Cherry Blossom's? Have you ever checked out the Cherry Blossom's in Portland? Thanks as always for reading! MovingBabies
In WNY I love the apple blossoms- it's a little ways off because it's till so cold hear but I look forward to my yard turning into a beautiful blanket of white tiny flowers. Thanks for sharing!
