I have been seeing essential oils popping up all over the place! Peppermint oil was my go to when I was pregnant with both girls. I suffered from horrible headaches and would rub it on my temples for quick relief. A friend of mine has been posting about cleaning up their household cleaning routine and how oils have helped them in their day to day lives, so I decided to give them a try. So far, so good! I've made a few roller ball recipes and have been diffusing them all over my home.

I LOVE a good sugar scrub! They are so great for your skin and makes it feel extra soft during the harsh winter weather. When picking out my essential oils, I had in mind some items I wanted to DIY with them such as cleaning products, rollers ons, linen spray, and beauty products. The first DIY I decided to tackle was sugar scrub. It was seriously so easy. I used organic coconut oil from Trader Joes, organic white sugar, and 15 - 20 drops essential oil of choice. Lavender was my choice for my first oil. My grapefruit EO should be arriving soon, so when it does I will be making a sugar scrub with that. I think when I make this again, I'll use a more coarse sugar (like the sugar in the raw brand). Also, you can microwave your coconut oil for 30 seconds so that it's a little easier to mix. I would also recommend adding in some fractionated coconut oil so that the mixture doesn't get too hard,
This sugar scrub would make a great last minute gift for the holidays, plus it's super inexpensive! I purchased these glass jars from Amazon to hold the sugar scrub. I need to find some cute labels for them. If anyone has any thoughts, let me know! I also purchased roller containers, cleaning bottles and spray bottles so I can make a few other goodies. Let me know if you have any awesome essential oil recipes! If you're ever interested in learning more about EO's let me know! I'd love to help.
