Cocktails, Entertaining, New Years
We had dinner with our good friends two weeks ago and I got the best cocktail I've ever had. Since then I've been dying to recreate it! The recipe called for pear vodka, lemon juice, allspice dram and honey but I had no clue how much. With lots of recipe testing, I finally found the perfect mix. We made a pear infused vodka which I'd never done before. It tastes so amazing, I'll definitely be making more infused vodka with other fruits and herbs. Here is our pear and cinnamon infused vodka winter cocktail recipe!
First, you'll need to infuse your vodka which takes around 5 days. For this recipe, I used 1 pear (any variety should work, just make sure it's not ripe) which I cut into cubes. I then added 1 cinnamon stick, 20 cloves, and about an inch piece of ginger. Put all the items in a large quart size mason jar and fill with vodka. Shake it up and let it do its thing! I shook mine each day and then it was ready to go on day 5. After the vodka is ready, you'll want to drain it to get rid of the excess pear and spices.
The next ingredient that was really tricky to find is called allspice dram. Allspice dram is a liqueur flavored with allspice berries. I had never heard of it before but I ended up finding it at a liquor store after calling around to a few. Apparently, it's not something that is typically used. It has a spiciness flavor to it and it's perfect for fall and winter cocktails. With the infused vodka and all spice dram, you will just add fresh squeezed lemon juice and honey, shake first without ice (the honey freezes when you shake it first with ice), then add ice, shake again and serve up with a cinnamon/sugar rim!

I'd love to hear if you try out this recipe! We'll be serving it at our New Years Eve party. Make sure to check out our New Years bar cart post here for some styling ideas! The pear and cinnamon infused vodka would also be really great with hot apple cider too! Thanks for reading!
Pin this for later!
This drink looks perfect for a family get-together! It's just sad I didn't see this before the holidays began. I would've tried to make this for the holidays celebration.
Family Drink. I love it. Thanks for Sharing it With us.
