I wanted to share some small toy organization tips with you that have helped our playroom stay clean. The small toys we have been accumulating are driving me a little bonkers. Can anyone else relate? Between the Hatchimals, My Little Pony's and Barbie shoes it was getting out of control. When I was on a trip to Michaels, I picked up a few storage solutions for our small toys. I shared about them over on Instagram and you guys were really into them!
Now that we're into the new year, it's time to get all those small toys organized finally! When we clean up the playroom (or the toys in your child's room), I like to take everything out and organize it by type. For example, all Barbies in one pile, all LOL Dolls in another, etc. I'll be sharing some tips and tricks, but I am first linking some of our favorite small toy organization items below.

I've had a few other small toy bins, but the one I found for the pony's is perfect. We potty trained Madison using My Little Pony blind bags (which worked SO well by the way) and we've created quite the collection. The girls are both super into them, so they play with them often.
I wanted to share a few small toy organization tips with you because if you're like me, you're in organization mode too!
These storage bins will hardly set you back. Most all of them are under $10 and go on sale often. The one with the pony's is deep enough to fit 3 or 4 pony's in them. Click here to shop this specific bin. I also like these ones from Amazon. They come in a pack of two and I use them for LOL Doll accessories.
shallow organizer (perfect for Hatchimals)
I am all about labeling! My must have item for labeling is our Cricut Joy. If you haven't tried a Cricut product, trust me. You will love this! We use it for SO many things from labeling to making cards, paper crafts, and so much more. I used it to label our zippered pouches (see below), toy containers, and storage bins.
I created these labels for our toy bins with images so little ones that can't quite read can also organize!
I also use our Cricut Joy to label pantry bins, kitchen organization, etc. The sky is the limit! If you are at all intimidated by Cricut products, start out with the Joy. It's so user friendly and I love the app. It also has step-by-step instructions to help guide you. Make sure to check out our updated playroom decor post here!
I added a simple label for our Hatchimal container
I love these containers for small toys/accessories. Add a label for each drawer so your kids will know what to put in them!
these bins are from IKEA but they fall apart easily, so I don't recommend them!
grab the Cricut Joy to label all the things!
These zippered pouches are AMAZING for storing small toys/games. We store the girls puzzles in them by type, memory games, plus/plus, etc. We even store whole games inside them so we don't have to keep them in the larger boxes. Trust me, grab them!
They're also less than $14 and look how many you get! I also pack them up with items to take to restaurants with us (colors, paper, small toys, etc). It's nice to have them packed and ready to go to keep them busy. You can also print labels for them too or just organize items by color. We store these upright in a cabinet which works well. You can also throw them in a bin!
We also love these rainbow storage bins which are perfect for small toys, barbie shoes, hair accessories, etc!
in our new home, I added these acrylic shelves for these tiny toys!
Another option for specific doll accessories (like these my little pony outfits) are these small storage bins.
this small toy organizer is great for little outfits
The girls are SUPER into their Barbie's and LOL Dolls and with that, comes a lot of tiny accessories. I've found this 3 tiered storage container to be great for storing all of their outfits and accessories. We have them in pretty much every room in our house for different storage solutions!
this container is from IKEA and is great for storing smaller dolls and outfits
These containers which I'll talk more about below are great for dolls and their outfits. They have compartments so you can store shoes and accessories, and the dolls themselves on the bottom.
These storage containers are great for so many things, but I created one for craft supplies and one for barbies and their clothes. They can be switched out for other uses when your kids outgrow certain stages. I also use the smaller one for storing gift wrapping supplies.
Bins bins and more bins when it comes to storage! I have a love/hate relationship with them since in a pinch, all the toys end up getting dumped in them. It takes time to keep them organized, but it's worth it! We recently got these storage bins from 3 Sprouts and love how sturdy they are. The girls love the cute animals on the front of them too.
here are the 3 Sprouts storage bins in our IKEA cubes
these larger bins are great for toy storage in their bedrooms. I love that they have a top to them!
