Christmas  Staircase  Decor Ideas

We're sharing several ideas you will love at The House of Hood Blog!

Add large brass bells for a vintage feel. These are inexpensive and can be used year after year! We also added in forest green ribbon for texture and a pop of color.

On our staircase, we layer on  6 foot faux eucalyptus garlands with real greenery. I clip these from our yard. Add in battery powered twinkle lights.

To attach your garland, use zip ties and twine to secure. This works really well and won't damage your staircase.

Here is a close up of how the mix of eucalyptus and evergreen looks. It's a great way to mix in garland or stems that you might use year round along with seasonal greenery.

I love the way the pop of color is used with the orange velvet ribbon. You could also add a dried orange garland to this for some more color.

Here is a more traditional staircase garland using greens and red. This garland is very full compared to the more modern style garland that is more sparse.
