How To:  Paint a Scalloped Wall Border!

This easy tutorial will show you how to add an adorable accent wall!

First Step:  Tape off the section of the wall you want to paint. Use painters tape and tape where you'd like the paint to stop.

Second Step:  Use a level to make sure the tape is leveled. Then, paint below (or above) the tape depending on where you want your scallops.

Third Step:  Before paint is dry, remove tape. This will help the paint line to dry smoothly. I used 2 coats of paint.

Fourth Step:  Find a round object in the size of scallops you'd like. Tape off the size you'd like so you'll know where your two end points are.

Fifth Step:  Trace half circles on the top (or bottom) of the paint with a pencil. Use a small paint brush to paint inside the half circle that you outlined.

Sixth Step:  Paint two coats. Your paint should cover the pencil lines. This small brush worked really well!

Here is how a wall looks with the scallops on the top of the wall.

It's such a cute way to add an accent wall! This will look great in a child's room or playroom! I love the scalloped look.
