How to Make a DIY Fringe

Wondering how to make your own plastic fringe backdrop for an upcoming party or photoshoot? Here are some easy steps to make your own DIY fringe backdrop. Follow this step by step tutorial to make your own!

Supplies

- 5-7 plastic table cloths (rectangle) - rotary cutting mat - rotary cutter - cotton string or wooden rod (for hanging the fringe from)

First, you'll hang your string on the wall (I used command hooks).

Then, start shredding your table cloths on the rotary mat. I used around 2 inch sections, but you could do less too. I love that they aren't exactly perfect and I think it gives it some character.

Once you have all your table cloth shreds, you'll tie them on your string. You could do a random pattern or a specific pattern.

Once I had all the long shreds tied, I then took a few and cut them in half. I placed these randomly at the top of the fringe so that it has some depth.

& there you have your finished DIY fringe backdrop!
