Making your own DIY fringe backdrop for parties is super simple and in this tutorial I outline how to create a fringe backdrop for birthday parties using cheap table cloths and cotton string!
Then, start shredding your table cloths on the rotary mat. I used around 2 inch sections, but you could do less too. I love that they aren't exactly perfect and I think it gives it some character.
Once you have all your table cloth shreds, you'll tie them on your string. You could do a random pattern or a specific pattern. I did a loop to tie them (as seen in the next photo). Fold the strip in half then pull the bottom pieces through around the string.
Once I had all the long shreds tied, I then took a few and cut them in half. I placed these randomly at the top of the fringe so that it has some depth. I did this for the purple one as well!
