Tutorial

Looking to dress-up your toddler Ikea table and add some dIY seat cushions to the chairs? Here is a simple tutorial for making your own DIY seat cushions for the famous Ikea toddler table!

Needed: - poly foam - scissors - a screw driver - a sharpie - a staple gun and one yard of fabric

If your chairs are already put together, take them apart.  Use the seat part of the chair as your stencil.

Step #1

Lay out your poly foam pad.  I ended up finding this at Hobby Lobby and they only had a large roll (nothing smaller). Use your sharpie to trace the shape of the seat.

Step #2

Cut out the shape of your seat.

Step #3

Lay your cut out foam on the non printed side of the fabric, and then lay your chair seat on top. Cut Fabric.

Step #4

Lay your cut out foam on the non printed side of the fabric, and then lay your chair seat on top. Cut fabric leaving a few inches of overhang.

Step #5

Fold the fabric over and start stapling!  I started with the front end of the seat and folded the fabric under to have a clean edge.

Step #6

It should look like this when it's done.
