I have always wanted to visit Disneyland during Christmas and we decided this was our year! We traveled down with our friends and had a blast! Christmas in Disneyland is pretty much the most magical thing ever. I highly recommend visiting during the holidays. We went during the 2nd week of December. It was a great time as it wasn't as busy as any other time of the year. However, I hear that the week before Christmas and after gets extremely busy. It actually closed this week due to being at capacity.
We were in the parks for three days total. Two days in Disneyland and one day in California Adventure. We don't do park hoppers right now since the girls are so little. It was the perfect amount of time in the park. We were getting through ride lines so quickly that we had so much more free time. Some rides we literally walked right on to. We did fast passes for a few rides, but for the most part didn't need to!
everything is decorated so festive!
The HoJo Anaheim was kind enough to host us for our stay. Make sure to check out our review here. It's one of our favorite places to stay since it's such a close walking distance to the park. The rooms are super clean and the staff is really friendly. It was decorated so cute for Christmas too!
Our favorite rides were It's a Small World and The Haunted Mansion. I couldn't believe how they transformed both the rides! They even pump in festive smells like Christmas trees, cinnamon, and gingerbread. We loved the Christmas parade and seeing how the castle was decorated in real life! There are snow showers at the castle at night time and the fire works are amazing as always! It was also fun to see the characters dressed up in Christmas.
It's a Small World was so cool!
Downtown Disney was super festive too! We ate at Balast Point and the food was SO good!
We seriously had the best time and I can't recommend going at this time of a year enough! Please let me know if you have any questions!
