Thanksgiving and the holidays are right around the corner! I wanted to share one of my all time favorite salad recipes with you that is perfect for the Fall/Winter holidays. Our Fall pear salad is super simple to make and has a ton of flavor. The spiced candied pecans add the perfect amount of crunch and they smell amazing while cooking.
This salad would honestly be great for any season, but pears are so good this time of year! Coupled with spiced pecans, it would be a great option for your upcoming festivities. Everything for this recipe can be purchased at your local Walmart grocery store. The best news is you can purchase online for pick up. With two little ones, this is a huge time saver! Walmart has so much organic produce to choose from along with sustainably sourced meat.
Ingredients needed for dressing:
I like to add all my dressing ingredients to a mason jar so I can easily shake it up and store it for later.
I recreated this recipe after having this salad so many times from one of our favorite restaurants. We did a super simple balsamic vinaigrette for the dressing. If you make a larger batch, you can store it in a mason jar in the fridge for about a week.
I'd also encourage making a large batch of the spiced candied pecans because they are slightly addicting! If this is going to be a main dish, you could throw on some organic grilled chicken that you can pick up from Walmart!
For the main part of our salad which serves 4, you'll need:
Add all salad ingredients onto a platter. First layer your lettuce, then add sliced pears and sprinkle with cheese.
Next up, the star of the show. These candied pecans are a game changer. Make extras so you can snack on them!
For our spiced candied pecans, mix water and egg white until frothy. Mix pecans into egg wash until coated. Then, mix up your dry ingredients (confectioners sugar, cinnamon, and salt). Combine both together, then spread out on a parchment lined pan and bake at 250 for around 30 minutes, turning every 10 minutes.
For our dressing, I used a mason jar to mix. Combine all ingredients and shake up till combined. I love using a mason jar because it is great for mixing and storing! Plate the arugula, then top with cheese, spiced pecans, sliced pears and dressing. Top with grilled chicken if you'd like!

You have to make these spiced candied pecans. They are too good!
Everything in this post can be purchased from Walmart. We love using their grocery pick up services to help save some time. This is especially important during the busy holidays!
