We are all set with our front porch Fall decor! I like to put it up in early September so I can enjoy it for as long as possible! This weekend when I was putting everything up, I asked Ryan to get my jack-o-lanterns down. He gave me a dirty look and told me our neighbors would think we were nuts if we started putting Halloween up now. Ok, I'll start with Fall then!
I will actually keep all of this decor up and add in Halloween, then keep it up through November. It makes it a lot easier than doing two separate decor themes. Make sure to check out our Halloween porch decor here!
I'll let you in on a little secret. We mix in faux pumpkins with our real ones! They have been coming out with some gorgeous cinderella pumpkins at Pottery Barn this year.

I grabbed a few and a large orange one to add to the mix. The only pain point is that they are tough to store. They end up costing around the same as a real Cinderella pumpkin though and you can keep it forever!
For our real pumpkins, we'll keep them on our porch through November. In order to keep them looking good for 3 months, I spray them with Mod Podge Acrylic Sealant. It works really well!
I'll most likely be adding some more real pumpkins as they start showing up and we start going to pumpkin patches.

I swore this year I would NOT plant mums. They always seem like a great idea, but are toast within a few weeks. We usually have a pretty warm September and I swear they get scorched every year. I love creating planters centered around large ornamental cabbage and this beautiful tall feather grass. It's an annual so I will replant it in the ground after the season.
Add in some Fall pansies, ornamental peppers, and some trailing plants for a gorgeous Fall planter. These are all really hardy plants so I promise you won't kill them!

We've had this large double door mat since we moved in and I love that it's a great neutral. We grabbed this black and white striped rug which is perfect for Fall and Halloween. Ours is the 4 x 6 size and it fits perfectly in front of our double doors. There are also smaller and larger versions.
Make sure to check out our Fall layered rug post here where we share a ton more options!
We purchased these wreaths last year from Home Goods. I was actually at our store last week and they had the exact same ones, so they might be floating around in your store too. I ended up adding in some orange pampas grass I picked up at Michaels (I can't seem to find it online).

This is gorgeous! I love the fall vibe.
Do you mind sharing the supplier of your front doors? And the height of your doors? We are looking to replace ours and yours are exactly what I was picturing! So stunning!
I would love to do the layered dormant look but having a hard time finding a second matt for double door. I like the black and white stripe and may get it but do you think it won't look as good with my (older) white door, white trim, and bluish gray home?
Hi there! Yes, I think it would look great and make it pop!
