Eeeeek! Our outdoor Halloween decor is up! When I first saw the outside of our house, I knew it was going to be so fun to decorate for the holidays. We had to throw some giant spiders up on the house of course. They really pop against our white house! If you're here for the giant spiders, click here to shop several options! I reallllly wanted them up to the top peak but I would rather have Ryan in one piece. Ryan tried to put together a giant DIY spider but it didn't quite work out how we planned it. We have a million other house projects to work on besides building giant spiders! Anyways, I wanted to share our seriously easy outdoor Halloween decor ideas with you here!
I knew I wanted skeletons on our wood posts and I was able to zip tie them easily. I just looped small zip ties to their wrists and then zip tied their wrists around the post. We wanted another skeleton on the roof almost reaching for the other one below. We were able to use a bungee cord to hook him on to the roof.
Here for the spiders?! I linked the exact ones we used below. Just click the photo to shop! As of today, they are in stock and ready to ship! I added a blog post sharing exactly how we hung them here.
I'm super in love with how the witch hats came together! I was able to grab them in a large pack from Amazon and they came with the fishing line. I used a needle to thread it through the top of the hat and then tied it into a loop.
We used push pins to pin them into the ceiling. It's wood planks, so I pushed them in between the planks. When they blow in the wind they look super creepy! It's actually been windy here the last few days and these have held up perfectly!
We had to put giant spiders on our house! It was pretty much begging for it. I attached the spiders closer to the porch (the ones that are under our porch) with a large command hook. The spiders already had a ribbon tied around their body, so this worked perfectly.
For the large spiders on the sides of the house, Ryan used a staple gun. We have battens on our siding so these were easy to get a staple through. Just note, this will leave holes in your house but they can be filled easily.
Use wood filler and then touch up paint. If you're looking for a more in depth tutorial on how to hang giant spiders on your house, click here!
If you're thinking about getting them, I would definitely jump on it! We got these ones that are 8 feet! The smaller ones are 4.9 feet. You can grab them here!
