For this year’s look, I started with two eucalyptus garlands from Amazon. I actually used them last year on our dining table and loved them so much that I ordered more for the mantel. These same garlands also run along our staircase for a cohesive, layered holiday look.
To give it more of a Christmas feel, I mixed in faux evergreen stems, gold glitter picks, and shimmery gold leaves. Of course, no mantel is complete without twinkle lights. They add that soft, magical glow that ties everything together.

For height and dimension, I layered in bottle brush trees, candle sticks, and taller tree decor. If you’re wondering how to hang garland without damaging your mantel, I swear by cord bundlers. They hold so well! I also like using command hooks in place of stocking holders for our stockings.
Pro Tip: When layering garland, alternate textures. Eucalyptus, pine, and cedar for a lush, natural look.
