Festive and Easy Chocolate Peanut Butter Reindeer Dessert Mix
I can't believe Christmas Eve is tomorrow! This whole month has flown by. We've made our fair share of sweets this season now that the girls like to help me in the kitchen. I like to keep things super easy when they are helping, and I have a really simple recipe you can make last minute for your holiday festivities. Our festive and easy chocolate peanut butter dessert mix will be sure to cure your sweet tooth! Also known as muddy buddies or reindeer (or puppy) chow, I love mixing in extras for each holiday. For ours, we mixed in holiday m&m's and Christmas sprinkles to make it extra festive. I packed up a few batches in mason jars and gave them out to my neighbors. We'll be serving them as a snack tomorrow at Christmas Eve at our house. I hope you enjoy them!

In a microwave, melt peanut butter, butter, and chocolate chips in a medium microwave safe bowl for 1 minute on high. Take out and mix, then microwave for another 30 seconds. Once melted, add in vanilla extract.
Slowly spoon out wet ingredients into cereal and mix until coated evenly.
In 2, 1 gallon storage bags, pour an even amount of mix into each bag. Add 1 cup of powdered sugar into each bag and shake until evenly covered.
Spread mixture onto a parchment lined cookie sheet and add Christmas sprinkles and m&m's. Stir until covered. Let cool for 5 minutes.

These were seriously so easy to make! I think I'll replicate this same recipe but with white chocolate and pink/red/white sprinkles and m&m's for Valentines day!
Have you made muddy buddies/puppy chow before? What are your favorite mixes and combos? I'd love to try adding pretzels and mini marshmallows sometime! Thanks for reading and I hope you have the best Christmas!
