Get Well Soon Basket - What to Stock Up On for Sick Days

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc., Abreva, Emergen-C, Lipton, Robitussin and Theraflu. All opinions are mine alone. #SickDayTips #CollectiveBias

Who's been there?  Stuck at home, so sick that you can barely move.  Only to find out, you have no medicine in your home?  Isn't it the absolute worst?! This happened to us once before, and ever since then I have sworn to always keep our medicine cabinet stocked!  I am luckily good friends with several of my neighbors and have been able to text them at 10PM to borrow some medicine.  I have a fun get well soon basket to help save friends and family from having to go to the store the next time they're sick.  The basket will include medicine, tea, some reading material and a few snacks they might need to feel better.

Get Well Soon Basket

For our get well soon basket, I shopped at our local Fred Meyer.  They had everything I needed to make the perfect get well soon basket for our friends and family.  How awesome would it be to show up at your friends house when they text you that they are sick? I know I'd love to receive this when I am too sick to leave the house!  Here is what our basket includes:

  • Abreva® Pump Cold Sore and Fever Blister Treatment - Abreva is not for temporary symptom relief, but healing. It delivers the best results when used at the first sign of a cold sore (e.g. the tingle that one feels on his/her lip).
  • Lipton Bedtime Bliss Tea -  The Lipton Wellness range, made with carefully selected botanicals and blended with essential oils, helps make wellbeing a part of your everyday routine.
  • Robitussin® Maximum Strength Cough & Chest DM - With Robitussin® you can fight your cough and help kick your symptoms to the curb. The liquid-strength of Robitussin® soothes on contact and provides cough relief for hours. (Robitussin and Theraflu are not to be used together)
  • Theraflu Power Pods Nighttime Severe Cold - Don't let the cold or flu get in your way. Theraflu Power Pods Daytime Severe Cold fits right in your routine. Compatible with most single-serve coffee makers, these fast-relieving pods work on even your most severe symptoms. Press. Sip. Relief.
  • Oranges
  • A good book
  • A water bottle
  • Crackers
  • Chicken noodle soup

Our Go-To Medications/Supplements

The above medications/supplements are some of our favorites to have on hand. I have been using Robitussin® for so long to keep my cough at bay every time flu season comes around. Liptons Bedtime Bliss tea is an herbal infusion that sings you to sleep, like a lullaby in a cup.* Carefully selected botanicals are blended with natural essential oils that make every cup delicious.  Theraflu Power Pods are powerful relief without a prescription. These have been a great addition to our medicine cabinet!
