We are spending a lot more time indoors since we're right in the middle of Winter here in Portland. I recently picked up some amazing LEGO sets at Target and had to share them with you! The girls LOVE building and putting things together. I thought these LEGO sets would be a really fun activity for them. We love the LEGO brand and it brings back nostalgia for me since I used to love to build them when I was little. Ryan also loves them and it's fun to have an indoor activity that our whole family loves to take part in.
We shop at Target at least once a week, so of course we had to grab these at our favorite store! I'm always on the hunt for activities to keep the girls' minds stimulated and LEGO sets do just that. We picked out the LEGO Friends Heartlake City Movie Theater and the LEGO City Family House to work on over the weekend. We love both the Friends and City sets by LEGO.
LEGO was started by Ole Kirk Kristiansen by first making wooden toys, such as cars, airplanes and yoyo's in the early 1900's. At first, the company was made up of two Danish words, LEG GODT. This means play well. Obviously, this switched over to what we know now as LEGO! You can read about the full history of LEGO here. The LEGO brand stands for imagination, caring, fun, creativity, learning and quality which area all reasons why we love them so much!
The girls chose these two LEGO sets while shopping at Target. They love the LEGO Friends sets and the LEGO City sets. We picked up the LEGO Friends Heartlake City Movie Theater and the LEGO City Family House. I love that they come packaged in sets inside the box. This make for a smooth building process. Each LEGO set comes with instructions too which is really helpful.
The girls love using their imagination while playing with the finished set. It's really nice to have an activity that both myself, Ryan and the girls love. I will link a few other LEGO sets below from Target that the girls also love!
