Being at home more, I am trying really hard to make things fun for meal time! We do lots of outdoor adventures and pack our lunches for on-the-go often. I stock up on convenient items that can be put in their lunches along with fruit, veggies, and protein. Making meal time fun doesn't have to be stressful! I created a cute caterpillar out of celery, peanut butter, blueberries, a half of a grape for the head, and two eyeballs. The girls love when I make their food into characters. Another fun idea is to pack a fun joke into their lunch! The girls LOVE snack time, so for their lunch I like to make their snacks into a complete meal. They love lunch meat, cheese, a few different types of fruit and veggies to balance everything out. For a fun snack, I like to include a snack pack from NABISCO. I love that the multipacks include a few different types of cookies/crackers so they get something different each day.
I wanted to share a few other fun ideas for making lunchtime fun! Add stickers to their lunch bag/bento box, create fun sandwich designs, make napkins into origami, add in a personalized note or one of the free printable jokes! Try out a fun veggie/fruit caterpillar (so easy!), butterfly apple slices, kiwi and grapes into a turtle, etc. There are so many fun ideas over on Pinterest too!
