Outdoor Scavenger Hunt for Little Kids

Ok friends! Here we are on day 4 of our self quarantine. How are you holding up?! I'm trying my best to space out activities for the girls. When they were in school, they were only there for 3 hours. I'm trying my best to not try to overwhelm them with too many lessons. I think it's best to try to keep them entertained and engaged in other ways besides too many worksheets. Especially with their ages, they need to have lots of wiggle time! I decided to create an outdoor scavenger hunt for little kids to use with my girls, and thought I'd share it with you too in a free printable!

Getting Outdoors in Your Neighborhood

The girls are super competitive, so they totally got a kick out of this outdoor scavenger hunt. I'm thinking of making an indoor one since we may be put on total lockdown soon. You can even laminate these so that you can use them over and over. We love getting outside and it truly helps our soul to be outdoors at least once a day. Luckily the weather here in Portland is nice right now, but I know that probably won't last too much longer.

Photo Book Scavenger Hunt

Another fun idea is to create an ABC photo book as a scavenger hunt with your kids! We recently made one with Mixbook and love how it turned it. We had so much fun creating it together too. You can use my code, MSHOOD50 for 50% off your first book too!

Outdoor Snack Tray

I decided to put together a fun snack tray for the girls after we were done with our scavenger hunt. These are SO easy and the girls gobble them up. I love that I can give them a great variety and mix in healthy items and snack items. All you need is a muffin tin!

It is a great time to be outdoors in your own neighborhood, but we are still being mindful of social distancing. We are sadly not playing with any friends, playing at the playground, or getting within 6 feet of other people. This is tough for the girls (like, super tough) but I feel like they are holding up really well. I'm so glad they have each other! Hopefully this outdoor scavenger hunt for kids gives you at least one fun activity to get through the day!

I'd love to hear what activities you have been doing with your little kids at home? I'll try to share more ideas as I come up with them! Thanks as always for reading.
