We have hardwood floors on our entire first floor. Ever since we moved in, my feet have been aching! I was chatting with my friend who has the same flooring as me and she said the same thing! Ever since, I have been on the hunt for anti-fatigue kitchen mats that aren't ugly. Trust me, they're not easy to find! Luckily, I came across a few great options and had to share them with you. I purchased a gorgeous blue and white stripe one and it is so comfy and looks great in our home!
In my opinion, everyone needs an anti-fatigue kitchen mat in their life! It's so incredibly comfortable to stand on while doing dishes. I'm tempted to get a runner version for in front of my stove. Most all of the mats I've linked are available in a runner version.
The old kitchen mats were always really ugly and blah. The new ones I found are much more stylish! They actually look like real rugs. My kitchen mat also easily wipes clean which is a must! *Update - we've now had this anti-fatigue mat in our kitchen for almost 2 years and I'm happy to say it's held up really well and still looks brand new!

If you suffer from foot pain, back pain, or hip pain you might need a comfort mat. This will help so much if you're standing for long periods of time. Unfortunately, not all mats are created equal and you definitely get what you pay for. My mat cost around $120, but it was well worth it to me. It's very thick and cushy!
I've seen some at a few other stores and they don't compare. Another great brand that is also on the more expensive side is GelPro. The best looking anti-fatigue mats in my opinion can be found here. They are also very thick and comfortable.
You can easily clean most kitchen mats with your normal mop. You can also spray them down with your favorite cleaner and wipe clean. This is why I love these more than a rug especially for under your sink area. It couldn't be easier to clean!

Your new home is lovely! I’ve been looking for a plan to build on a small lot that’s been in our family since 1978. The current house needs to be torn down. Did you create your own plan? I was wondering if it could be used with only the single car garage? What’s behind & above your 2 car garage? Is the master downstairs? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thank you
