Must Have Easy Mom Hack - Car Kit for on the Go

To continue our Summer blogging series (see our previous posts here and here), we are sharing a mom hack round up!  This is something I've been wanting to share for a long time.  Our must have easy mom hack is a car kit for on the go!  Thank you to Arin and Navy for putting this blogging series together.  I'll be linking up to the other mom hacks below.  Make sure to read to the end.  These ones are so good and you don't want to miss out!

Must Have Easy Mom Hack - Car Kit for on the Go

Our car kit is something I put together back when McKinlee was born.  I would constantly find myself out and about missing one or two things I desperately needed.  We go on adventures often, and need all.the.things but don't want to pack them all in my diaper bag (or now purse - yay potty trained kids!).  I would find us out and about on a cloudy day that suddenly turned sunny.  We didn't have sunscreen!  The girls would have an accident and I wouldn't have underwear with us.  Or, they would scrape their knee and need a bandaid.  I keep our car kit in the trunk of my car and update it often.  We also keep a roll of paper towels and a few dish clothes there too.  I also always keep a few water bottles just in case.

Our car kit has come in handy more times than I can count!  I feel pretty prepared when I'm out and about with the kids and I don't have to stress out in the mornings.  I have everything I need ready to go thanks to our must have easy mom hack.  We'll typically refill this once a month to make sure we have everything we need.  Since I carry a smaller bag, this has come in so handy especially now!

What is in Our Car Kit?

In our car kit, I keep the following:

  • First aid kit - bandaids, antiseptic cream, antibacterial hand spray)
  • Perishable snacks
  • Hair kit - clips, bows, comb, brush, and hair ties.  I can't count how many times the girls hair has come out and we've needed a clip to keep their hair out of their face!
  • Sunscreen
  • Stain remover
  • Extra undies
  • Baby wipes and wet wipes
  • Medication (advil, childrens tylenol, stomach medication)
  • Reusable water bottles
  • Sunglasses
  • Lint roller
  • Dog bags (for tying up soiled clothing if the girls have an accident)
