Our post about an easy Summer waffle board is sponsored by Krusteaz. All thoughts and opinions are our own!
If you've been following us for a while now, you know we love our boards! From snack boards, to pancake boards, anything goes! Our family loves waffles, so I thought I'd make a beautiful Summer themed waffle board using our favorite mix! Krusteaz Light & Fluffy Buttermilk Pancake Mix doubles as the perfect waffle mix. They even give you instructions on the side of the box.
Putting together a brunch board couldn't be easier! You can have sweet, savory or a mix of both! I went with summery fruits for this waffle board along with marrionberry syrup. In the past, I've added bacon, sausage, eggs, etc. Check out this post over on Instagram where we shared a fun Spring pancake board.
Krusteaz makes so much more than pancakes! You should definitely check out their whole line of baking goods. Another favorite of ours are the poppyseed muffin mix. It's SO good! Krusteaz has been around since 1932, first starting out with a pie crust mix! I love that all of their products are incredibly easy to make, taste homemade and don't require any crazy tools or added ingredients.
Start with the most perfect waffles made from Krusteaz Light & Fluffy Pancake Mix. This is the only mix I'll use because they come out super fluffy and perfect every time.
I love that Krusteaz Buttermilk Pancake Mix doesn't use any artificial preservatives, colors or flavors. They make the perfect waffles. I love that they're so easy to make too.
The nice thing about a waffle board is that you can make it ahead of time and it is a crowd pleaser. It also looks beautiful too!
I have had people ask how the waffles stay warm and they really don't. You'll need to have guests or family heat them up a bit when they're ready to eat!
On a large tray (preferably with sides) add on small bowls (around 2-3 inches in diameter). I added in some mini jam containers for fun. Start with your waffles and lay them out however you would like.
Then start adding in larger fruits that have skin. I started with bananas, then kiwis, clementines, and Rainier cherries (the best!). Then in your bowls, add in smaller fruits like raspberries, blueberries, cut pineapple and cut mango. Sprinkle in some berries or cherries to fill in the holes on your board.
Next up, add in your bowl of butter and garnishes. I used daisies, roses, and mint. You can get creative with this part! That's it! Now you are ready for brunch.
If you're looking for a fruit board to serve at your upcoming Summer parties, check out this one I made! It turned out so pretty and was the perfect board to bring to a pool party!
