McKinlee had the best time at her fairy themed birthday party we threw for her last weekend! I love love love going all out for parties for the girls, and this one was no exception! McKinlee changed her mind on a party theme approximately one million times (#fouryearolds). I'm so happy she settled on a fairy theme. I was able to keep the cost of the party decor pretty minimal. Michael's had a lot of great deals on end of summer greenery. I also kept an eye out for deals on their fairy garden items.
We partnered up with our favorite party shop, Glitter Party Co for her darling banners, cake toppers, etc. Candace can seriously custom make anything you can think up! She did the cutest little toad stool cupcake toppers and they were perfect. Heartfelt Blooms also made us a felt flower garland and matching flower crown. We'll be using this in one of the girls rooms. Links to everything are below!
Instead of a normal cake or cupcakes, I decided to put together a fun little DIY activity for kids to decorate their own cupcakes! I found mini paint palettes here and filled each section with a different sprinkle. Pre frosted cupcakes went in the middle, and the kids went to town decorating their own cupcakes. It was such a fun activity and it kept the kids quiet for at least a little bit. You can keep these around for future parties or play dates too and the palettes were super inexpensive.
Fairy Dress Up
I found these fairy sets here and each child got one to dress up as. I also had turtle shell ninja costumes for the boys, because what says fairy theme better than a turtle shell. Ha!
