The girls have been obsessed with flamingos since they were both babies. For some reason, McKinlee started calling them 'bobbies' so we've called them that for as long as we can remember. It's so random but the name has stuck! When we were looking at wallpaper for Madison's room, we found this flamingo wallpaper and knew it would be perfect for her room!
Our flamingo wallpaper is by Marzipan Days and she has so many beautiful and unique prints. I like that they aren't the same prints that you see everywhere else. I would definitely check out her prints if you're looking for something that not everyone has! We love the different pinks in this print too. Marzipan Days peel and stick wall paper was really easy to install. We made a quick video too that I'll post below!
We loved how McKinlee's room turned out, we sort of mirrored the same look in Madison's room. Ryan did a half wall of shiplap with a chair rail on top to finish it off. The flamingos have a lot of different pink in them. We matched them to our favorite pink paint - Intimate White by Sherwin Williams. The girls bathroom shiplap is also painted Intimate White. We love it! Make sure to click here if you want a super simple shiplap tutorial with all the items you need to make it happen.

I was so obsessed with the prints in McKinlee's room, I decided to print them for Madi's room too. They fit in perfectly. You can grab the pink VW bus print here, the pink Palm Springs door print here, and the flamingo print here. I found this adorable pink feather lamp and it is the perfect touch! It's from Home Goods so I sadly can't link it for you. We also did the same white wood bead light fixture in Madison's room as we did in McKinlee's. Clearly I was lacking in the creative department here!
If you've been around long enough, you know this isn't our first rodeo! We've done wallpaper in 7 (maybe 8) rooms! We always go with peel and stick because it's way easier. Trust me! This wallpaper was a little different in that it was one large piece. We definitely needed two people for this job. One to hold and one to apply. You'll want to make sure your wall is smooth and clean most importantly. You can install it on a lightly textured wall, but it will show through a bit. If it doesn't bother you, no big deal! We have a wallpaper smoother tool that looks like a credit card. Your first section or panel needs to be perfect. Some walls have settled and won't be level so keep that in mind. As long as your first piece is perfect, you should be able to align from there! I'll share a video of us installing below. I wish it was this quick!
