It's no secret I love taking photos of our girls. To say we have a lot of photos to choose from is a total understatement! Our new house has a long hallway that is open to our upstairs loft. It was begging for some large framed photo poster prints! I've actually never done these myself and I couldn't believe how easy it was and how great the quality is of the photos. We LOVE the beach, so I decided to go with beach photos for this space. A lot of people use engineer prints for their large framed photo poster prints, but I'm not sure how they'd turn out printed in color. They look really great in black and white though! I have 3 options for you to create this fun look! Two are DIY and one is more spendy, but you don't have to do a thing!
I was able to grab these frames when they were 70% off. Major score! They come in a few different colors (black, grey, natural wood, etc) but I wanted the white washed wood for this spot. Right now, they happen to be 50% off. The larges one I purchased was 24 x 36 which is less then $25 during this sale. I grabbed two of that size, 3 18 x 24 and 3 16 x 20 for our gallery wall. These frames are great because they are really light weight (the cover is plastic vs. glass). I was able to hang them with a single nail and didn't have to worry about finding a stud.
Have you heard of the toothpaste method when it comes to hanging frames? I just dabbed a small bit of toothpaste on the frame hanger, and pressed it up to the wall where I wanted it. Then, just hammer your nail in and it will be in the perfect spot!
Ok, here's the fun part! I had to print our photos at two separate locations which actually worked well so I could give feedback on both. We printed the 24 x 36 and 16 x 20 prints at Walgreens. They had a coupon at the time, so all 5 were $30. I had to print the 18 x 24 prints via Vista Print were $25.17. We didn't do photo prints, but selected poster prints instead. Both companies poster prints turned out SO well. I honestly couldn't be happier! Our Walgreens poster prints were ready the day I ordered them. The Vista Print posters shipped to me in around 4 days. I was really surprised with how quickly they showed up! They also have a larger variety of sizes. We chose the matte version.
All the photos we chose were of high quality/pixels. Both companies will notify you if you're photo isn't high quality. More than likely, you won't be able to print a cell phone photo onto poster size as it will turn up pixelated.
We are also huge fans of Frame It Easy and have ordered from them several times. I wanted large black and white photos of the girls hung in our living room, and ended up having them printed by Frame It Easy. Their process is super simple and they do everything for you. All you have to do is select your photo, size, and framing options. Couldn't be easier than that! We're also really happy with how they turned out and I love looking at them! They're definitely the pricier version. Make sure to check out our other post here on how we used these frames to update the foyer in our old house.
Thank you so much for reading! Hopefully this was helpful. Please let me know if you have any questions!
