This post about the Lollipop Baby Camera Review was sponsored by Lollipop. All opinions are our own!
We were recently introduced to a brand new baby monitor/camera by Lollipop. They sent us a camera to try out and I'm so glad they did! Prior to trying this baby camera, we had been avid fans of the Nest cam and used this in both girls rooms. Ryan loves this new Lollipop camera so much he decided to make the switch! He's the techie of the family, so I knew if he liked it, then it was legit. We've been using it for a few weeks now so that I could give an in-depth/honest review. Read on for more of our thoughts on the camera!
First of all, the Lollipop camera comes in beautiful packaging. It would make a great gift! You can choose from a few different colors (we obviously chose pink). You will connect the camera to your smart phone and this was so easy for me to do. The directions are super simple to follow. There is an app you will download on your phone or tablet to view.
Once you have the camera connected and the app downloaded, you can then decide where you will mount it. The Lollipop camera is really nice because you can hook it directly onto the crib. We had to mount it on the wall because Madison is over 1 year old, though. I would have really loved having this on the crib when Madi was a baby so I could have gotten an extra close view!
The Lollipop camera came with everything you need to easily mount it to the wall or your crib. There is a white piece that looks like a tree limb that you mount to your wall and then you wrap the Lollipop camera arm around it. It's a really great set up because you can use it several different ways with posable arm.
Once you download the app and connect your camera, you can start using it right away! The app has been really easy to use so far. One of the distinguishing features that sets it apart from other cameras on the market is the crying detection feature. It can actually tell you when your baby is crying versus just babbling! Another one of my favorite features is the event history on the app. You can view event's throughout the day. In order to have this feature with our Nest cam, we had to pay for an extra service.
Viewing can be done when you are on the go. If you were to leave your child with a baby sitter or while you're at work for the day, you can open the app and see them in their crib/room! I love being able to check in on them throughout the day when I'm at work. You can also talk through the camera and play music.
The app can be used by multiple people, so my husband and even my mom can have the app installed on their phones. Another feature that is really cool is the border feature. You can set a border inside the screen where you can be alerted of movement. So, if your baby moves outside of the range you'll receive an alert. This would have been nice when the girls were babies and I was so paranoid about a cat getting into the crib with them!
There is also an optional wall sensor that will send the Lollipop camera information about the room such as temperature, air quality and humidity. We don't have this feature, but it sounds really useful!

Live View from the App
Some of my favorite features are:
The Lollipop camera is fairly new on the market and they are constantly making updates and improvements with feedback. Their newest update will allow you to leave the app open for sound, but not run your phone battery down with the picture up on the screen.
Please let me know if you have any questions about the Lollipop camera. We are huge fans!
Wow! never thought I see a baby camera with so many great features. Usually, I'm checking out reviews and news on DSLRs, but this blog caught my attention so bad 😀
I'd love to read more. And hey, why don't you check out my blog as well? I'm sure Ryan would love to know about Vlogging cameras in the future.
Thanks, and cheers!
