Entertaining, Holiday's, New Years
Now that Christmas has come and gone, it's time to move on to New Years Eve ideas! We always host NYE at our house (except last year when our whole family was sick). What can I say? I LOVE throwing parties! I've just found that at this stage of our life with little ones, it's best to stay in rather than try to find a baby sitter. Pretty much all our friends live super close by, so it's nice to stay in with the little ones. The adults can hang and the kids can all play together! We are on the west coast, so we usually watch the New York ball drop at 9. Works like a charm! Today I am sharing some New Years Eve home decor - gold and blush bar cart ideas!
I cannot believe I have lived this long without a bar cart! They are so much fun to style for each holiday. I have always been worried that the girls would try to play with everything on it, but so far so good! I scored this bar cart on major sale during the pre-holiday sales. It's good quality for the price and was super easy to assemble.
For my backdrop, I used this iridescent tinsel curtain and this tassel garland draped on the side. Ellie and Piper sent us a few goodies for our party as well like the "cheers" balloon we used for the backdrop.
Since our bar cart is gold, I decided to go for a gold and blush theme. Ellie and Piper sent us these adorable "cheers" drink stirs, "more bubble" napkins, gold and white striped cups, plates, and gold confetti. Definitely check them out for all your party planning needs! Adding varying heights when styling shelfs or in this case, a bar cart is appealing to the eye.
I borrowed a three tiered cake plate I had in McKinlee's room to house our NYE headbands, noise makers, and party hats. The large book on the bottom of the cart was added to put bottles at different heights. We have a few different styles and sizes of glassware to add some different shapes. The gold confetti was the perfect touch to bring it all together. The "cheers to 2019" banner is from Glitter Party Co. She custom made a small version just for our bar cart!
We will mainly be serving bubbles at our New Years Eve party. I am also working on a spiced pear infused vodka cocktail to have up soon! We always love serving festive mimosas, and one of my favorite versions uses pomegranate cherry juice with pomegranate seeds, bubbles, and a sprig of rosemary. So festive and easy! Everyone will be bringing a bottle to share as well. Welch's also sent us their adorable white, red, and rosé sparkling grape juice. They look so cute on the bar cart don't you think?!

Why haven't I thought of a bar cart when we prepared for the new year's eve?! Ugh, this is such a good idea! I would love to have a bar cart the next time I host a party. My girls would love this for sure.
Great idea, a bar cart. Next time I will make sure I will add one when hosting a party.
