Salishan Resort invited us for a complimentary stay in exchange for an honest review. As always, all opinions are 100% our own!
Our family loves weekend getaways! With two toddlers, we find that either one or two nights away is just what we need. Living in Oregon, there are SO many gorgeous getaways within a 2-3 hour drive. Our love for the beach runs deep. My family has been taking me to the Oregon Coast since I was just a few weeks old. McKinlee's and Madison were just a few weeks old for their first trip to the beach too. Today, I am sharing all about our visit to Salishan Resort on the Oregon Coast!

McKinlee was really, really into her pumpkin
Salishan Resort had so many fun seasonal activities planned for families and we made sure to attend them all! First up was pumpkin painting for the little ones. They had all the paint to choose from, googly eyes, gems, and sequins to decorate the perfect pumpkin. The girls were in heaven! After our dinner (which I'll get to in a bit), we enjoyed s'mores by the fire pits while the most gorgeous sunset happened behind us.
the girls loved this painting set up
the entrance to the resort. can you tell the girls were excited to check in?!
After our s'mores, we headed back to the room to put on our suits! Salishan Resort has "Dive in Movies" by the pool complete with popcorn. Lucky for us, they were playing Hocus Pocus. We had SO much fun swimming and hanging out in the hot tub. We closed the place down.
The resort was also decked out in Fall decor, which the girls loved of course. I was so sad to be missing the Boo at the Beach happening this weekend. Maybe we'll go next year! Salishan Resort also offers a gorgeous golf course. We aren't golfers, but if you are this is the place to be. There is also a small putt-putt course for the little ones.

Salishan Resort is incredibly pet friendly which is a must for us for weekend getaways. We don't want to have to board Dexter for just a night or two, so it's nice when we can bring him a long. He felt super welcomed when we arrived! There was a dog bed, dog bowls, treats and his own towel for wiping his paws. Salishan Resort also had a fun "Yappy Hour" just for dogs, where Dexter enjoyed bacon infused water and treats.
Dexter enjoyed having his own bed!

We had dinner at The Sunroom and our meal was delish! They had a lot of great items to choose from on the kids menu as well. I always have to get some sort of seafood while at the Oregon Coast, so I chose sea scallops. Ryan got steak, and the girls got pizza and a hot dog. The sun sets right into the room, and I could barely handle how gorgeous it was. We had to pause to head outside to snap a few photos! Salishan Resort does offer room service, but we decided to head back to The Sunroom for breakfast. The girls ate their ENTIRE breakfast (which never happens). I got a scramble and Ryan got Huevos Rancheros. Breakfast was so, so good. It's nice when you don't even need to leave the resort for anything!
we had to stop dinner and head out to look at the gorgeous sunset and snap a few pics

The girls are a little too young for crazy hikes in the area, but luckily there were a ton of small trails around Salishan Resort for them to explore. They have so much fun checking out all the bugs, mushrooms, and cool plants located on the property. Salishan Resort also places glass Salishan Seeker Globes throughout the resort for people to find. Sadly, we didn't find any but we did have one waiting for us in the room! The resort also offers complimentary bikes to ride around the resort and beyond. They also offer guided hikes, patio games, beach coming, sunrise yoga and so much more!

We had a beautiful room overlooking the ocean! Our room was really spacious and we had a fold out bed for the girls. They slept really well on it and passed out after our night swim. We loved the balcony with wooden rocking chairs. Our room was on a corner, so we had a side window that overlooked the forrest. It was gorgeous! The extra large room was super comfortable for our family.
If you read our blog much, then you know that our favorite beach is Cannon Beach so it was really nice to explore a different area for this trip! Salishan Lodge is located just south of Lincoln City off the 101 in Gleneden Beach. It's just a little over 2 hours from Portland. While we waited to check in to our room, we spent some time at Fogarty Beach (just a few miles South) which is known for their rocky sand. The girls loved finding agates. We then headed back up to Lincoln Beach for the girls to play in the sand. There are so many options for activities in the area! On Sunday before we left town, we headed South to Depot Bay to check out the shops and views of the ocean.

We had the BEST time at Salishan Resort and can't wait to go back. My only complaint was that our trip went by too quickly! I think next time, we'd stay longer so that we could pack in more adventure on the resort! Please let me know if you have any questions. I'd love to help!
