If you follow us over on Instagram, you’ve probably seen peeks of our new Serena & Lily Harbour Cane Bed and today I’m finally sharing my full Serena & Lily Harbour Cane Bed review. After researching beds for months, this one immediately stood out for its craftsmanship, airy design, and timeless coastal feel. Now that it’s here and styled in our primary bedroom, I can confidently say it’s one of the most beautiful furniture pieces we own.
This post was updated April 2026 - we've now had this bed for 5 years and are still completely obsessed with it! It's held up beautifully.
The moment this bed was assembled (which they do upon delivery!), it completely transformed our space. The cane work, the silhouette, the quality - everything feels elevated and luxurious. If you love a light, airy, coastal aesthetic, this bed brings that effortless Serena & Lily charm in the best way.
The Harbour Cane line is known for its craftsmanship, and you can feel that quality right away. The frame is strong and sturdy, the caning is beautifully detailed, and the overall design is both classic and coastal.
The Serena & Lily Harbour Cane Bed blends timeless design with artisan craftsmanship. A few standout features:
Handwoven, double-sided cane panels
The caning is woven by hand from sustainable rattan, and the headboard + footboard are caned on both sides—such a gorgeous detail.
Solid hardwood construction
No MDF here. The bed feels substantial and built to last for years. In fact, I wanted to update you to let you know we've now had the bed for five years and it has held up beautifully!
No box spring needed
The wooden slats support your mattress perfectly, which gives the bed a clean, low-profile look.
Inspired by classic design
Serena & Lily describes it as a reimagined Louis XIV silhouette with a tropical twist, and it truly has that timeless elegance.

The natural rattan paired with the coastal-inspired frame makes this bed incredibly versatile. It works beautifully in neutral, coastal, modern, or transitional spaces.
Extremely. This bed is solid. The frame doesn’t wobble, the slats feel supportive, and the cane panels are tightly woven and durable.
My husband is 6’5”, and he sleeps comfortably without touching the headboard or footboard. The bed has a spacious, open feel that works well for taller sleepers.
We fell so in love with the bed that we purchased the matching Harbour Cane Nightstands and they are truly stunning. Unfortunately, the white option is discontinued, however they made an updated version here.
Here’s what we love about them:
Even though I don’t always love a matchy furniture set, this collection looks cohesive and intentional in a larger primary bedroom.
