My youngest daughter Madison is OBSESSED with all things Spirit. When her birthday approached she already had her themed picked out! The newest Spirit movie just released (Spirit Untamed) so there were lots of Spirt themed toys outf. I was able to find a lot of horse decor/party goods on Amazon too! Madison's favorite color right now is purple, so we mainly went with a purple theme for the colors. I created this DIY fringe backdrop (see the tutorial here!) and a balloon garland. Check out our balloon garland tutorial here!
I didn't really want to do a cowboy theme which there is a lot of that decor out there. I found a few horse figurines to have as cupcake toppers. They worked out perfectly and the kids each took one of them home. I also found some Spirit themed plates and napkins. They are from the old movie but they worked out just fine!
For our gifts for after the party, we gave out Spirit blind bags. The kids loved them and they were a hit!
I also scattered a few small horses and medium horse figurines on the party table. For our cake topper, I made a glitter name topper with my Cricut. I also added a small horse figurine to the top. Our cake was by our absolute favorite cake maker, Lilac Butterfly here in Portland. You can look her up on Facebook if you want to order a cake. They are not only beautiful but also taste SO good!
For our special guest, I hired a small pony to stop by our home. He was so sweet and gave the kids a ride around our yard. It was a total surprise for Madi and I highly recommend them. Wish Upon a Pony is based in Portland. Squeakers came to visit and he was a 20 year old male.
