As a now work from home mom, I am finding it really difficult to get a workout in at home. I love going to classes at the gym, but it's hard to make the time. From loading the kids up in to the car, driving there, and then paying for them to go to the gym's daycare (which half the time Madison cries when I leave her), I usually only make it once or twice a week. Today, I am sharing my favorite way to work out at home with ! I also have a discount code at the end of this post to save you some money on a subscription!
leggings / waterbottle (you need one of these in your life! Keeps water cold for over a day) / shoes (they run big!)
Working out at home is my go to these days, and now that I've started back into a routine it's been such a mood booster. A little "me time" is always a good idea! From the happy endorphins working out gives you to the strength from lifting weights that I need to carry my two girls around, working out for me is a must. is a mobile personal training app, which is what I've been using to get my home workouts in. matches you with a certified personal trainer as well as health and wellness coaching which has been proven to be one of the best ways for people to reach their goals. In the past, I've done workout challenge groups and I find that I'm always more motivated when I have someone pushing me. Ladders mission is to bring health and wellness coaching to anyone, anywhere.
I promise I don't always look this happy when I'm lifting weights!
When you sign up for , the app will ask you several questions where they will then match you with a personal trainer. Your personal trainer will message you to set up a training plan and to ask questions about your preferences and what types of workouts you like. The app will also let you create promises that you'll make with yourself. These could be to plan out your meals each day, reach your step goal, or drink your goal water amount. She has also always been there if I needed to ask questions or chat with her which is a really great feature!
I have found the workouts to be really challenging! A ton of equipment isn't required, just hand weights (which I already had at home). You also don't need to have a gym membership, but if you do your trainer will create a workout plan that can be done in a gym. The workouts my trainer has given me have been specific to my request. I love lifting weights, and she included a lot of weight training.
Have you ever gotten a personal trainer at a gym? I signed up for one once, and it was sort of a nightmare. It was SO expensive, and they didn't really seem to care about my goals and the back injury I have. He had me lifting crazy heavy weights and injuring my back even more. My trainer with Ladder really listened to what I needed and what my goals were. costs as low as $16 per month. They have various plans that you can pay for monthly ($49.99), three months ($89.97) or an entire year upfront (only $191.88!). They were kind enough to give me a promo code to share with you. The code will give you a free week trial! Click and use code CHELS for one free week. This will also get you 10% off a subscription.
What are your favorite ways to workout? I definitely like a variety, so it's been really fun to mix things up with Ladder!

Love it. If you have a workable routine, workouts at home are so convenient and eliminate the chance of excuses. I do the same and use a Yoga app too to mix things up. Everything I need is right here and the sooner I get it done, the better I feel. I love that a small amount of effort offers up such great rewards. Improved mood, healthier body and a clear mind.
