Decluttering and Cleaning, Organization
I am on a roll with these organization posts! Today, I am sharing a few organizing tips for all the little things that are taking over our space. From hair accessory organization to the girls school projects and a few things in between. We've let things go a bit during the holidays. There are a few areas in our home that have been begging for attention and nows the time!
First up on the small item organization list is organizing our girls hair accessories! We keep a space in a drawer in our butlers pantry for hair accessories. This helps so that when we are running out the door for school, I have a central location for doing their hair quickly.
I have actually had this hair accessories bin for a few years now. We use it daily, so I had to share it with you! It's super convenient to have this bin both upstairs and downstairs. The girls take their hair ties out and throw them all over our house, so it's great to have a spot for them to go downstairs.
I keep all the necessities in here such as hair ties, bobby pins, spray gel, a Wet Brush and a comb. Make one, I promise you'll thank me later! Check out our post on how we organize the girls bows here.
we use a seam ripper to take the girls small elastic bands out so they don't pull their hair out!

Now that the girls are in school, they bring home SO many worksheets and projects. I don't keep everything, but most of the cute/memorable ones I do. These were creating such clutter (good clutter, don't get me wrong!) around our home that something had to be done.
I ordered these file bins (they came in a pack of 4) and file folders from Amazon. The labels were from a shop on Etsy. These are great so I can easily find which bin is which. From there, I put art work, papers, school photos, and any other memorable items I want. I don't have these separated by type, but possibly will some day. I know as they get older, more things will accumulate but for now this is a great storage option.
I purchased this bin from Michaels and it's been great for storing all my gift wrapping items. This is perfect for holding my gift tags, tassels, ribbons, tape, etc. It was a great price too! Before, all of these items were in the girls craft cabinet and the clutter was too much. Now, they're all in one easy spot so I don't have to go searching each time I need to wrap a gift. Make sure to check out my post here on how we use these bins to organize some of the girls small toys.
