SingleCare partners with multiple providers so that you can search for a particular service to determine your best option based on pricing. It's so nice having it all in one spot! With a SingleCare membership, you'll have access to the following:
SingleCare believes consumers should have the ability to compare costs without the worry. You can save quite a bit of money on your prescriptions, dental, vision, and virtual doctor visits (amazing for busy moms!). With SingleCare's RX search tool, you can search for specific prescriptions and pharmacies to find the best deal near you. I tried searching a few of our normal prescriptions and found quite a large price difference comparing a few different pharmacies. SingleCare will also let you know if there is a coupon available for whichever prescription you are searching for. One of my favorite features!
For Dental or Vision appointments, you can simply search for the procedure you need completed on SingleCare's website. Several providers will pop up with the price you'll pay for the visit. I really love having that option! Health care can be so confusing and there are never prices listed upfront for services. It seems so odd to me, so I love how upfront they are on SingleCare's website. For virtual doctors visits, you'll pay a fee of $45. I've had to go to my doctor so many times just to get a prescription, so it's nice to be able to skip the huge office visit fee. The price can be astronomical!
When you have had your appointment and you've received a prescription, you can then search for the best deal at the nearest pharmacy. Once you have that piece determined, you can then simply take your SingleCare card to the pharmacy and they will process your request using the BIN and PCN numbers found on your card. It's as easy as that! I've found through searching different prescriptions, that SingleCare can save you anywhere from a few dollars to hundreds (prescriptions are expensive!).
As a new stay at home mom, I got to thinking about how I will fit in doctors appointments for myself with both girls. I used to schedule them during work hours so I could go during my lunch or on my way home from work. I mean, I can obviously take them with me but they sometimes act like complete lunatics out in public. Just imagine hauling them into an office while I'm sick, keeping them entertained during our time in the waiting room, then once you actually get into the exam room it seems to take even longer! Add in the drive back and forth and you're looking at potentially 2 hours! No thank you.
