Did you know that Galentine's Day is officially on February 13th?! I never knew that it had an actual date. I just thought it was a made up concept for social media! I'll always take any excuse to throw a party, so I decided to throw a Galentine's Party this year for a few of my besties. We had it in January because it's such a boring month. Today I am sharing how to throw the perfect Galentine's party for your besties! Our party was a brunch theme and I kept the food super simple. We are all trying to be a little healthier, so I kept that in mind for our menu!
For our Galentine's party, we decided to make it kid free! We've tried brunches before with kids and it makes everything a little stressful (to say the least). Ryan took the girls for a few hours so we could hang out in peace and it was so nice.
It's super important to make sure to get some time with friends so you can actually converse without being interrupted 50,000 times. Make sure to check out our kids Valentine's party from last year here! For our brunch, I kept things super simple with scrambled eggs with cheese, extra crispy bacon, avocado, strawberries, and macarons. I'll share our super yummy cocktail down below!
Of course I had to put up a balloon arch for our party. I loved how this one turned out. I used large balloons and super tiny balloons all from Girly Gifts. She sent me the balloon garland kit which comes with balloon tape, a command hook, and string to hang your garland.
For our party decor, Ellie and Piper Co. sent us so many cute items! You have to check them out if you're planning a party. I'll link to specific items under the photos.
I love love love having fresh flowers for parties. They add such a nice touch and you can get them so inexpensively. I picked up five bunches of flowers/greenery to make small bouquets from Trader Joes for $20. The vases are from Ikea and I put mason jars or juice glasses in them so they would hold water.

For our cocktail, we obviously needed it to be pink. I am not drinking for the whole month of January (super sad face), but I did have a sip of this and it was SO yummy. It reminded me of a frozé, which makes me really excited for summer.
For our cocktail, I used these tumbler glasses. You'll take a small scoop of raspberry sorbet and put it in your cup. Then, add prosseco, a few raspberries, and a sprig of mint. So simple but looked so pretty and festive. Click here for another fun drink recipe idea.
I gave each of the girls a fun rose gold gift bag (these ones are from Ellie and Piper Co) with super fun heart shaped sunglasses, an Eos chapstick and a bath bomb. Nothing too crazy, but it's fun to give a little gift!
If you're looking for fun sunglasses for Valentine's day (or pool days/whenever!) definitely check theses ones out. They are actually great quality for the price and they come in a pack of six.
